The Columbia Valley Skateboard Association (CVSA) has been working hard for over five years to build a new skatepark at Kovach Park.
To date, they have raised almost exactly $500,000 to the project. They’ve got another few grant applications pending, and CVSA president Karl Jost is hopeful they will have enough to start this summer. Learn more about the skatepark’s progress in our story from last week.

Their Thursday, February 2 annual silent auction and raffle fundraiser is one of their big annual fundraising events, bringing in an average of about $8,000 each year.
Organizer Mike Moynihan has lined up dozens and dozens of prizes, art works, auction items and more.

This year the event features two DJs, live art demonstrations and more.
The silent auction starts at 7 p.m. and Traverse. Doors by donation. Bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank to get a free raffle ticket.
