Environment Canada has issued a weather watch for the West Columbia warning about the chance of severe thunderstorms with hail and heavy rain on the afternoon of Monday, June 29.
In a statement on their website, they warn:
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.
Conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe. The main threat is a heavy downpour of 25mm/hour. Strong wind gusts and moderate hail are also possible.
