Revelstoke Mountain Resort hosted the first North American event of the Freeride World Qualifier on Jan. 11 and 12. The ski and snowboard competition is a qualifying event for the Freeride World Tour.

This year, it attracted 109 skiers and riders from around the world who tackled courses in Seperate Reality and the North Bowl. The freeride formats sees competitors ride natural terrain and cliff jumps.
Berkeley Patterson came out on top for the men’s skiers. Rachel Croft led the women’s skiers. Kai White finished first in the men’s snowboard division and Michelle Locke took first in the women’s.
The seeding list for all FWQ events, which determines which riders are selected for events, is based on competitors’ best three results during the past 52 weeks on the FWQ.
