Revelstoke volunteers honoured

Outstanding Revelstoke volunteers were honoured in a ceremony at the Revelstoke Welcome Week community dinner and volunteer fair on Nov. 26.

The Spirit of Revelstoke Award recognizes the valuable contribution that volunteers make to this community. The volunteers are nominated by community members who explain the work each recipient gives to the community.

This year, the recipients are Carol Palladino, Claudette Kendel, Wally Mohn, Georgia Sumner, Susan Black, Jan Morehouse, Courtney Atkinson, Cindy Pearce, George Hopkins, Bill Shuttleworth, Jack Carten, Marly McAstocker, Roma Threatful, and Vivian Mitchell.

The event also featured booths and displays from over a dozen organizations seeking volunteers to help with their cause. We caught up with a few here:
